Engaged couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage are required to go through marriage preparation at the parish. They contact the pastor at least 9 months prior to the intended wedding date and meet to examine various areas of concern for married life. A wedding date is never to be set until meeting with the pastor. Couples are required to attend an approved marriage preparation course, in addition to regular meetings with the pastor or deacon.
